Mostly, it seems that plumbers are the least happy employees out of many careers in the united states. Although it is possible to make good money working as a plumber, often people find it difficult to earn experience in order to make the big bucks. There is not much upward mobility, which can be discouraging. The stress level is about average for most careers in the same field, but the career has a great home/work-life balance.
